The Aesthetic Foundation Research Award is bestowed upon individuals who have made significant contributions to Aesthetic Surgery through research. It is not a yearly award, and in 2025 we identified someone who epitomizes what the award represents.
Dr. Mark Jewell is a Past President and Trustee of The Aesthetic Society, served on The Aesthetic Foundation Board of Directors, and participated as an Aesthetic Society Traveling Professor. He has an extensive list of research contributions that extend way beyond what could be listed here, but the list shows the eclectic nature of his research which is particularly interesting and impactful:
